Appointment SMS/Text Notifications

CaredFor supports appointment reminders via SMS/text message. Studies have shown that appointment reminders, specifically text message reminders, reduce missed appointments and patient attrition.

Members receive SMS/text message notifications and reminders for their in-person and Telehealth appointments at the following intervals.

When an appointment is created

• Members receive one SMS/text notification confirming the appointment.

Appointment reminders

• Members may receive up to three reminders per appointment, depending on the appointment type:
  • Standard in-person appointments:
    • 5 days before the appointment

    • 1 day before the appointment

      Standard Telehealth appointments:

    • 5 days before the appointment
    • 1 day before the appointment

    • 10 minutes before the appointment

      Drug screen appointments:

    • Reminder timing is configurable per appointment

When an appointment is updated

• If the appointment date or time is changed, members receive one SMS/text notification.

When an appointment is cancelled

• If an appointment is cancelled, members receive one SMS/text notification.
