Inviting Members


There are a two places in the app where you can invite new members: the Dashboard and the Members page. Both will generate the same invitation to your clients.

Invitations sent via email include 3 unique messages:

  • Initial Invitation - this is sent immediately upon submission. 
  • Invitation Reminder - sent 1 & 3 days after initial invitation, if the person has not joined the app.
  • Final Reminder - sent 7 days after initial invitation, if the person still has not joined the app.

Invitations sent via SMS include 1 unique message that is sent immediately upon submission.

Both invitation types will include a unique code that the member will need to provide during registration. Invitation codes are good for 8 days from when the invitation submission occurred so long as the member has not requested a new code.

If the member forgets their invitation code or lets it expire, they will have an opportunity to request a new code. Refer to Registering for the App for more information.

Dashboard Block

This option is the fastest way to send an invitation to clients, but it does not include all the optional fields available. If you are inviting another staff member who needs admin access, or you want to include extra data on a client's profile, we recommend using the Full Invitation Form on the Members page (instructions below). 

To invite via the Dashboard Block:

  • Navigate to Menu > Dashboard, then locate the block titled Invite a member. 
  • Enter the person's email address and/or mobile phone number. You must fill in at least one. 
  • Use the Team drop down to select the appropriate team for that person. Occasionally someone may need to be a member of two teams. If so, you can check membership to multiple teams. 
  • Tap Send

To invite via the full invitation form:

  • Navigate to Dashboard > Members > +Invite > Send Manually.
  • Enter the person's email address and/or mobile phone number. You must fill in at least one. 
  • Enter an External ID if you wish to associate this person with an electronic medical record ID.
  • Use the Team to join drop down to select the appropriate team for that person. Occasionally someone may need to be a member of two teams. If so, you can check membership to multiple teams. 
  • Use the Role on team drop down to select the appropriate role for that person. Your clients should have the 'member' role, but facility staff may need extra administrative permissions. This role chart can help you determine the appropriate role for staff.
  • Enter the dates the person began and/or left treatment. Note: These dates can be used to automatically assign Care Journeys or Surveys and Assessments to your members.
